In Memory of our SHS Principal, Mr. E.O. Monette

Mr. Edward O. Monette of Amery, WI, age 92 formerly of Stillwater passed away on Dec. 6, 2002, and was survived by his wife Evelyn. Mr. Monette was principal of Stillwater Senior High during our tenure at high school.

From the 1975 Kabekonian...

In the summer of 1953, Mr. Monette, at that time, a physics and geometry teacher at the SHS, became the temporary principal of this school. Twenty-one years later he is still our principal.

In the year of '53, the administration asked him to stay on as principal and by February he made a final decision to keep the position, a position he will leave when he retires at the end of the current school year.

In twenty-one years, Mr. Monette has left a lasting impression on SHS. His genuine interest in students and his concern for a smoothly-run school will be remembered by all.
